Instructions
Stove-top method
In a medium sized pot, cover all ingredients with 2½ cups of water.
Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain and serve with milk and honey (if desired).
Drink within 2 days.
Slow cooker method
In a slow cooker, cover all ingredients with 2½ cups of water.
Cook on low, overnight.
In the morning, if the water level looks low, add more water.
Strain and serve with milk and honey (if desired).
Drink within 2 days.
