Body-Boost Ashwagandha Moon Milk
Moon Milk is a soothing, delicious milk-based hot beverage that has its roots in the healing tradition of Ayurveda. It’s useful for deep relaxation and sound rest, and is often taken at bed-time to calm stress and anxiety. In this recipe, we add Ashwagandha Ghee which is used in Ayurveda to support a healthy immune system. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired.
Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups milkor non-dairy alternative
  • 1/4-1/2tsp cinnamonground
  • 1/4tsp cardamom, greenground
  • 1/8tsp nutmegground, plus more for garnish
  • 1/8tsp turmericground
  • 1/8 tsp black peppergound
  • 1tsp Ashwagandha Ghee
  • Mishri Indian Sugar
Instructions
  1. Pour milk into a saucepan. Whisk in dry spices.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  3. Pour into a large mug. Stir in Ashwagandha Ghee and Mishri Sugar to taste. Sprinkle with additional nutmeg.
  4. Enjoy hot!
