Iced Jal-Jeera: A Zesty Indian Summer Drink
Every summer when the weather gets hot, we make jal-jeera, which is a word that basically means “cumin water.” Jal = water. Jeera = cumin. Here’s how it’s made.

powder or roasted cumin seed

tamarind paste

black salt (kala namak)

jaggery (grated)
or other sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions
Add all the ingredients to blender and blend it well.
Add this thin paste to 3 cups of water.
Add ice cubes, garnish with a few min leaves and serve.
