Moringa, Date and Almond Treats

  • 1 cup almonds sliced, toasted
  • 2-3 tsp moringa powder more or less, to taste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom, green ground
  • 1/2 tsp dried ginger ground
  • 1/8 tsp salt more or less, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup dates pitted and chopped
  • sliced almonds for rolling, optional

Instructions
  1. Put almonds, moringa, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and salt in a food processor. Pulse to the consistency of coarse meal.
  2. Add ghee and dates. Process until the mixture comes together, stopping and scraping down sides of processor if needed.
  3. Transfer to a bowl. Form walnut-sized balls between your palms. Roll in sliced almonds, if desired. Place each ball on a parchment or wax paper-lined baking sheet or plate.
  4. Chill until cold and firm. Store in an air-tight container, preferably in the refrigerator.
