Moon Milk is a soothing, delicious milk-based hot beverage that has its roots in the healing tradition of Ayurveda. It’s useful for deep relaxation and sound rest, and is often taken at bed-time to calm stress and anxiety. In this recipe, we use a combination of spices with Ashwagandha Root Powder and Turmeric SuperGhee, both of which are used in Ayurveda to promote excellent health. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired, and, although not necessary, you can whip the moon milk with a handheld or bullet-style blender until frothy before serving.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cups milk or non-dairy alternative
- 1/2 tsp Ashwagandha Root Powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon ground
- 1/4 tsp green cardamom ground
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg or mace ground, plus more for garnish
- 1/8 tsp cloves or allspice ground
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Turmeric SuperGhee
- Ayurvedic Jaggery or original, or powdered jaggery

Instructions
- Pour milk into a saucepan; whisk in Ashwagandha powder along with the dry spices.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Pour into a large mug; add vanilla, Turmeric SuperGhee and Jaggery to taste.
- Sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Enjoy hot!
