In India, figs are called “Anjeer”. They are often enjoyed in a lassi, or for a snack, or dessert. This simple recipe provides probiotic support from the kefir or yogurt. Honey can be added for greater sweetness, and feel free to add additional spices such as cinnamon and/or ground ginger as well. This recipe makes enough for one person but can be doubled, tripled, etc.

Quinoa Kitchari
Kitchari is India’s most beloved comfort food; it’s also an important food for healing and supporting good digestion. While traditionally made with basmati rice, it can also be made with other grains. This hearty, delicious kitchari is made with sprouted quinoa, but regular quinoa will do fine.
Ghee Scrambled Eggs with Black Seed, Cumin and Curry Leaves
These delicious, nutritious eggs are great at any meal. Try them with ham, bacon or sausage, or with sprouted whole grain toast, biscuits or muffins. The recipe is enough for one person, and can easily be doubled, tripled, etc.
Heart-Warming Arjuna Moon Milk with Rose Petal Jam
Moon Milk is a soothing, delicious milk-based hot beverage that has its roots in the healing tradition of Ayurveda. It’s useful for deep relaxation and sound rest, and is often taken at bed-time to calm stress and anxiety. Adding medicinal ghee increases the effectiveness and potency of the herb, carrying it deeper into the body. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired.
Darjeeling Green Tea Latte
This is a simple, wonderful tea that can be made with your choice of milk, however, the richer the milk (or nut milk) the creamier and more delicious the tea. If you enjoy dairy products, try this recipe with 6 Tbsp whole milk and 2 Tbsp cream in place of half cup (8 Tbsp) milk. The tea is wonderful hot, but can also be enjoyed cold on a hot summer day.
Dave’s Stuffed Peppers
Our friend Dave is such a creative cook! When he told us about his luscious stuffed peppers, we had to get his recipe! Pear Salad with Roasted Walnuts and Mango-Primal Dressing
Enjoy this salad all year long by going with the seasons. For example, in summer, consider using peaches and sunflower seeds in place of pears and walnuts which are better suited for fall and winter. This should yield 4 servings.
Kick-Spiced Mini Turkey Muffins
These little meat muffins make a great snack or meal if you’re watching your carbs. Kick Ketchup can be mixed in equal proportions with regular organic ketchup or tomato paste to reduce spiciness. We used dark turkey, however, if using breast meat, adding 1/2 Tbsp olive or almond oil to the recipe makes for a juicier result. For standard muffin tins, the yield is roughly 10-12 depending on optional ingredients added. These freeze well.
