Moon Milk is a soothing, delicious milk-based hot beverage that has its roots in the healing tradition of Ayurveda. It’s useful for deep relaxation and sound rest, and is often taken at bed-time to calm stress and anxiety. In this recipe, we add Ashwagandha Ghee which is used in Ayurveda to support a healthy immune system. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired.

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups milk or non-dairy alternative
- 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon ground
- 1/4 tsp cardamom, green ground
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg ground, plus more for garnish
- 1/8 tsp turmeric ground
- 1/8 tsp black pepper gound
- 1 tsp Ashwagandha Ghee
- Mishri Indian Sugar

Instructions
- Pour milk into a saucepan. Whisk in dry spices.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Pour into a large mug. Stir in Ashwagandha Ghee and Mishri Sugar to taste. Sprinkle with additional nutmeg.
- Enjoy hot!

you for the class and the recipe. I always made Golden milk but it was helpful
to learn of the different sugars as well as using the ghee in addition to the milk,
