Rest-Easy Brahmi-Ghee Moon Milk with Saffron

Moon Milk is a soothing, delicious milk-based hot beverage that has its roots in the healing tradition of Ayurveda. It’s useful for deep relaxation and sound rest, and is often taken at bed-time to calm stress and anxiety. Adding medicinal ghee increases the effectiveness and potency of the herb, carrying it deeper into the body. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired.

In this recipe, we add Ashwagandha Ghee which is used in Ayurveda to support a healthy immune system. Feel free to adjust the spices as desired.

This tea is wonderfully fragrant with cardamom and orange. It’s ideal for spring and winter. We use Organic Darjeeling Green tea, however Organic Darjeeling Black Tea or a favorite herbal tea such as spearmint could also be used. The Immune Support Tea contains Guduci, a popular Ayurvedic herb used traditionally to support good immunity.

These easy-to-make Ladoos are fun and delicious when made with Alphonso Mango Puree. If you want to keep them non-dairy, simply substitute organic virgin coconut oil in place of ghee and use canned organic condensed coconut milk in place of regular condensed milk.
