Creative Thanksgiving Day ideas for how to use ghee.
Before roasting, slather your turkey in grassfed organic ghee (and maybe a little garlic ghee, as well). The ghee will add depth and give your turkey a lovely golden crisp.
More butter in the mashed potatoes is always a great idea, so why not use ghee instead? 🙂
Dinner rolls are better with melted ghee. Try Cultured Ghee, Garlic Ghee, or Herbes de Provence Ghee for especially decadent rolls.
Sweet potatoes and Digestive Ghee (with cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom) are a perfect pairing for dessert-like sweet potatoes.
If you’re making your own candied nuts, try tossing them in Digestive Ghee. You can’t go wrong!
For more savory sweet potatoes, use Niter Kibbeh Ghee, which has cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, cumin, coriander, and turmeric for some fall flair.
Sauté your green beans in our sweet, buttery Original Ghee along with fresh garlic slices, toasted almonds, and a little salt.
Use the turkey drippings, Original Ghee, Himalayan Pink Salt, freshly ground Tellicherry peppercorns, and flour to make a salty, savory gravy. Our Tellicherry peppercorns are a rare variety with a little extra heat and a nutty aroma, reminiscent of sandalwood.
Instead of butter, use Italian Ghee or Herbes de Provence Ghee in your stuffing recipe.
Use Indian Dessert Ghee instead of butter when you’re sautéing your apples for your apple pie or apple crisp. Don’t forget the cinnamon!
Roasted carrots are even better with Turmeric Superghee or Digestive Ghee.
If you’re an after dinner coffee drinker, don’t forget to stir in Coffee++ or Shatavari Ghee.
